On this walk, Kampot's history comes alive on the streets where rebels,
colonists, and river traders once lived. You'll learn how centuries of trade,
struggle, and conflict shaped the town you see today.
And the spirits that once watched over the land still do. On every street and
doorstep you'll find shrines where incense burns each morning. Some are
Buddhist. Some are older, belonging to ancient spirits that guard the land and
the people on it. Jason will introduce you to them by name and explain what
each one watches over.
